Tony Ward Managing Director for Force 10 Recruitment Ltd is about to embark on a triple medley of physical challenges to raise money for Help for Heroes. The first event on the 10th June sees Tony joining Prison Staff from HMP and Young Offenders Institute, Marshgate, Doncaster on the 25 mile Three Peaks Walk http://www.walkingenglishman.com/dales1.htm. The following weekend Tony will complete the Great Yorkshire Bike Ride www.gybr.co.uk. The ride is approximately 70 miles, mostly on country roads, from Wetherby to Filey (going from sore feet to sore backside). Then finally on Sunday the 3rd of July 2011 Tony will be accompanying Duncan Bannatyne for a free fall Sky Dive http://www.bannatyne.co.uk/duncans-blog. Duncan has made a commitment to double any funds raised by Tony.
Tony explained why, although he was not getting younger, he was still determined to do his bit for the Armed Forces Community. “People who risk life and limb for society deserve our support when they return to Civvie Street. For the last 4 years I have been trying to create job opportunities for the guys and girls when they leave the forces, I passionately believe that they have a lot to offer. Over the last two years I have been supporting Help for Heroes and have been moved by the courage demonstrated by those injured whilst serving their country. However, I feel they need more support in order to live their lives in the best possible way as, the majority will never make a full recovery and will be dependent on others for the rest of their lives”.
